LA ESQUINA CHATA

Located in the Plaza Hidalgo, providing restaurant and café service. Italian food.

EL MINERO

Is almost in front of hotel El Mesón de la Abundancia and is in all respects a common mexican one. His owner is kind.

Many street stands on access street sell "gorditas", a typical food of this area of the country. Is a kind of corn tortilla filled with different good things.

And if you are camping, you shouldn't experience problem in finding good things to fill your pan. There are good places to find fruit and veggies. Try (asking) Margaritas corner grocery store a block away from the Plaza towards the cemetery. If you need something like the supermarket... wait, we have one: Super La Nueva Sorpresa, better known as la tienda de Miguel (Mike's grocery), it is in calle Lanzagorta, near the garden. Another excellent one is Chelelo's place, half way between plaza and tunnel, down the "Y" when coming from Ogarrio tunnel, it has a wide variety of fruits and veggies as well as groceries in general. Friendly prices all around town.
